Design Story

The hierarchy is disciplined. At distance you catch three things in order: the arched crimson banner reading BOSTON, the oversized red B inside its gold laurel medallion, and the ribbon below carrying the badge-style wording EST. 1901. Between them sits a night-lit ballpark and city skyline rendered in deep navy, muted greens and warm amber light. Two crossed bats anchor the center, two baseballs weight the lower corners, and gold scrollwork curls through every remaining gap. It is a symmetrical, framed, centered-medallion layout with a heavy decorative border, and the dark background keeps the maximalism from turning noisy. Contrast does the work: red against near-black, gold against shadow.

Room & Styling

As a floor composition, the centered medallion is the payoff. The ornate border frames the artwork edge-to-edge, so the rug reads as a complete panel rather than a cropped image, and the dark field gives the red and gold room to breathe.
