Design Story

The focal panel centres on a circular red-and-blue Cubs roundel, ringed with jewel-like blue accents and framed by laurel scrollwork. Above it, a banner reads CHICAGO CUBS; below, EST. 1876. The lower register carries an engraved-style rendering of Wrigley Field with its own signage plate, then badge-style wording for World Series Champions and the years 1907, 1908 and 2016 — decorative typography, not a claim. Fine pinstripes and red baseball-stitch curves run vertically, with faceted red and blue diamond motifs punctuating the negative space. The palette is disciplined: warm gold on ivory, with colour reserved almost entirely for the emblem.
