Some designs move. This one holds still and asks to be examined. A circular emblem sits at the centre of the tumbler like a medallion set into a case, framed by scrollwork that never quite lets the eye leave.

Design Story

At distance the read is simple: a red basketball roundel with DETROIT PISTONS in silver-toned block lettering, ringed in deep blue. Step closer and the surrounding field resolves into dense silver-look filigree, acanthus curls and jewel-like red and blue accents rendered as painted highlights. Below the emblem, a smaller basketball motif anchors the vertical axis, and a lower band repeats miniature roundels: a D monogram, a trophy shape, two more basketballs. The composition is strictly symmetrical and unapologetically maximalist, red above, blue beneath, silver holding the two apart.

Use & Experience

The vertical proportion of the tumbler suits this layered structure. The main emblem occupies the front-facing focal area at eye level, the ornamental band closes the lower edge, and the wraparound scrollwork carries the pattern around the sides. Negative space is minimal by design, so the piece reads as a decorative object first and drinkware second.
