Design Story

The composition is strictly centred and bordered. A banner across the top carries LOS ANGELES in gold serif capitals; a lower ribbon reads EST. 1883 in badge-style wording, which stays decorative typography rather than a verified claim. The focal point is an interlocking LA monogram set in a laurel wreath, with two crossed bats beneath it. Behind that sits a night skyline and a stadium bowl in muted greens and blues, flanked by small scoreboard-style signage. Two baseballs anchor the lower corners. Everything is contained by layered filigree and a double gold border, so the eye reads crest first, typography second, scenic detail last. Navy, aged gold and a single warm green field keep the palette restrained despite the maximalist detail.

Room & Styling

As a rug, the strong border does the work: it frames the surface and keeps the motif from bleeding into the floor. The medallion sits high enough to stay visible with a coffee table over the lower third, and the dense filigree reads as texture from standing height while the LA monogram carries the room from the doorway.
