Design Story

The composition reads in tiers. At distance, the interlocking LA monogram sits high on the front panel, framed by radiating gold rays that fan outward like an Art Deco sunburst. Below it, script lettering spells Dodgers, followed by smaller caps reading LOS ANGELES and a decorative EST. 1884 line. The lower third turns architectural: a stylised skyline of towers, flanking palm trees, and an arched fan motif that resolves into a single diamond at the base. Palette discipline does the heavy lifting — two tones only, navy against warm gold, with metallic-looking engraving effects giving depth without added colour. Layered and maximalist in detail, yet symmetrical and calm in structure.

Use & Experience

The artwork is built for a tall silhouette. Vertical framing lines follow the body of the tumbler, drawing the eye from the crown band down to the base, while the focal panel stays centred for a clean front-facing read. Gold banding at rim and foot bookends the graphic, and the solid navy handle keeps the busy panel uninterrupted.
