Restraint is the whole idea here. A matte black drinkware silhouette, a single metallic-looking gold palette, and a court drawn in line rather than colour. It reads as an accessory first and fan piece second.

Design Story

The wraparound composition maps a basketball half-court in thin gold linework: keys, free-throw circles, arcs and hash marks running top to bottom across the body. At distance the eye catches the word LAKERS in wide serif capitals, anchored on the front focal panel between LOS ANGELES above and the smaller COURTSIDE EDITION caption below. A gold band circles the upper rim, and a small team crest with decorative LIMITED EDITION wording sits low on the tapered base. Two tones only — black ground, gold line — with a purple accent tucked into the handle interior as the one quiet break in the scheme.

Use & Experience

Vertical proportion does the work. The court lines follow the tumbler's taper so the graphic reads continuously as it turns, while the typographic block holds the centre with generous negative space around it. The gold rim band and gold straw close the composition at the top; the handle's dark form keeps the busy side clear. Bold graphic scale, low colour noise — it carries well on a counter or in hand.
