Design Story

The read at distance is immediate — an interlocking NY monogram set inside a gilded laurel medallion, crossed bats beneath it, anchoring the exact centre of the field. Behind it, a night skyline in silhouette with pinprick window lights and stadium floodlights flaring on both sides, then a ballpark diamond grounding the lower third. Banner typography reads NEW YORK at the top and EST. 1903 at the base, badge-style decorative wording rather than a claim. Two smaller monogram roundels sit in the upper corners, two gold-toned baseballs in the lower, giving the layout a symmetrical four-point rhythm. Scrollwork filigree frames everything in a continuous border, keeping the navy field from reading empty.

Room & Styling

The centred medallion gives this rug a clear focal hierarchy on the floor: the emblem stays visible even with a coffee table nearby, while the ornate border defines the edge and separates the piece cleanly from surrounding flooring.
