The eye lands on the clock first. A gilded dial sits mid-panel, Roman numerals circling an interlocking NY monogram rendered in soft silver relief. Everything else in the composition exists to frame that single point.
Design Story
The artwork reads as architecture. A deep navy field is threaded with faint constellation lines and small gold stars, arched over by an ornate frame with fleur-de-lis crowns and columned borders. Below the dial, a banner spells NEW YORK YANKEES in fine serif capitals. Lower still, a domed stadium facade in engraved gold linework carries arched windows and a second small clock, closed by a badge-style plaque reading THE BRONX and the decorative wording EST. 1903. A baseball medallion anchors the base band. The palette is disciplined: navy, aged gold, quiet ivory. Layered and maximalist up close, but calm and symmetrical from across a room.
Use & Experience
The vertical proportion of the tumbler suits this design's stacked hierarchy — clock, banner, facade, base band — so the composition climbs naturally from bottom to top. The gold rim and lower band bracket the wraparound artwork, while the navy handle picks up the darkest tone in the panel. It carries like a small monument.
