Design Story

The composition is centred and vertical. A faceted, armour-plated warrior fills the field, arms opening into a wide V — one blade raised high into the upper left corner, the other angled down through the lower right, so the motion runs diagonally corner to corner. The palette is disciplined: cold silver and graphite against a near-black circuit-etched ground, with crimson used sparingly as accent light through the visor, chest vents and blade edges. A pale double-line border with corner brackets frames everything, and a small red-and-silver crest anchors the bottom centre. At distance you catch the silhouette and the two red diagonals. Closer in, the surface breaks into thousands of angular facets and fine engraved linework.

Because the artwork is bordered and centred, it holds together as a single floor composition rather than a cropped fragment. The dark ground reads as negative space, letting the figure carry the visual footprint while the framed edge keeps the shape defined against surrounding flooring. Place it where the full vertical can be seen — an open span, the foot of a bed, a studio corner — so the raised blade and lower crest both stay in view. It anchors a room in dark neutrals and lets the red accents echo other details.
