Design Story

The vertical axis governs the design. At distance, three elements register: the arched wordmark PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES across a deep crimson banner, a large interlocking P centered inside a home-plate-shaped panel, and a ribbon reading FIGHTIN' PHILS above an EST. 1883 shield. Champagne-gold scrollwork fills the surrounding field, punctuated by clear and red jewel-like faceted accents, small circular P roundels, crossed bat motifs and two baseballs set at mid-height. Nothing moves; the tension comes instead from contrast — cool crimson enamel-look panels against warm metallic-looking filigree, and open red space against maximalist ornament.

Use & Experience

The composition is built for a tumbler's vertical proportion: crowned detail near the rim, the crest as the front-facing focal panel at eye level, and a banded ornamental border closing the base. Ornament wraps outward and lets the red handle read as a color echo rather than an interruption. Statement level is high, but the symmetry keeps it composed on a desk or in hand.
