A floor piece built like a vintage placard: black ground, aged gold lettering, one emblem holding the centre. Quiet in colour, confident in structure.
Design Story
The hierarchy reads cleanly from a standing height. Arched "PITTSBURGH" sits above an oversized "STEELERS" in weathered gold slab type, and directly beneath it the circular hypocycloid emblem — gold, red and blue on a cream disc — functions as a central medallion. Below that, an engraved-style rendering of a stadium and city skyline in charcoal and sepia gives the lower half depth without competing for attention. A banner reading "EST. 1933" and two footballs anchor the bottom corners, framed by scrolling gold filigree that runs the full border. Warm ochre against near-black keeps the tonal contrast tight and the composition disciplined.
Room & Styling
As a floor composition it behaves like a framed panel: strong border containment, centred focal weight, dark negative space carrying the middle. That makes it a room anchor rather than a scatter accent — best left largely uncovered so the medallion and typography stay legible from across the room.
