A single figure, caught mid-strike, held inside a deep navy field. The composition does not shout; it concentrates. Everything is drawn in one warm copper-toned line, and that restraint is what gives the image its charge.
Design Story
At distance the eye reads three things: the arched cowl, the diagonal sweep of extended claws, and a faint domed lattice behind the head like a halo drawn with a ruler. That geometry is the quiet counterweight — cold, measured structure pressed against a snarling, open-mouthed face. Mid-range, engraved hatching builds the shoulders and forearm, all of it rendered in a metallic-looking copper tone against matte navy. Up close the linework thins into fine cross-hatch and etched contour. The word WOLVERINE sits alone near the base in wide, spaced capitals: small, calm, deliberately unemphatic after all that motion above.
Use & Experience
The figure occupies the front-facing focal panel and rises the full height of the tumbler, so the vertical proportion carries the diagonal of the claws upward toward the rim. Navy negative space at the lower body lets the type breathe. Copper-toned accents at the collar band, handle and straw echo the engraved line, closing the composition as a single visual system. Bold graphic presence, restrained palette.
